Mostly, an enjoyable reading. Exception, the last two chapters where I feel the author belabored the fact, especially the next to last.
I think, of all the books written by Mr. Kelly, this was the least enjoyable of them all. I speak as a turkey hunter of 40 adult years and feel there was to much detailed writing on the planting, harvesting and overall structure of the pine. Most of what was said could have been said without the scientific names and going into such detail.
Knowing Mr. Kellys background(from his writings), I suppose it had to come out sometime.
I still intend to purchase the few remaining books of his that I do not have, hoping, the turkey will gobble tomorrow.
